TasteRay ForMe ("the Widget") is a psychographic matching tool that helps users decide whether a product, movie, book, or game is right for them. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you use the Widget, we process:

• Chat messages — the questions and answers exchanged during your session
• Product context — the title, description, and category of the item you're evaluating
• Match result — the psychographic match score generated at the end of the conversation

What we store locally

The Widget stores a psychographic taste profile in your browser's localStorage. This profile helps provide faster, more accurate matches in future sessions. It never leaves your device unless you actively use the Widget again, at which point it is sent to improve your match quality.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for the site hosting the Widget.

No accounts, no cookies

The Widget does not require you to create an account, does not set tracking cookies, and does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

AI processing

Your chat messages are processed by Google's Gemini AI to generate psychographic questions and match scores. Messages are sent to Google's API for real-time processing and are subject to Google's Gemini API Terms of Service.

Logging

We use Langfuse to log conversation traces for quality monitoring and debugging purposes. These logs contain chat messages and match scores but no personally identifiable information.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data retention

Server-side conversation logs are retained for up to 90 days for quality monitoring, then automatically deleted. Your browser-side taste profile persists until you clear it.
